The Marple Athletic Under 10s A team were the winners of the Woolston tournament in June. The boys topped the group stage and were eventual winners after some very tough games indeed.

 This made up for their disappointment at losing in the final of the Urmston Meadowside 6-a-side tournament. They were disappointed to lose to the host team in the final, especially after coming from behind to win the semi-final 2-1.

It's been a good run in the tournaments for all the the boys. Marple even fielded 3 teams in the Parkwyddn tournament.

Toby Sinclair made his Marple Athletic debut at Urmston with come cracking goals, good tracking back and some mazy runs that turned defenders. All the boys have made him very welcome. Jamie Oldfield was stand in keeper and pulled off some great saves in every game. Louis Isaacs also showed the poachers instinct he has displayed for the B team all season by scoring some belting goals, as did Ryan Knott, Sean Boughey and Harry Turner. Joe Taylor has been solid at the back, as usual, also passing well up the pitch when required.

The B team also did very well at Urmston and Woolston. They played some great football to qualify from the six team group stage. Sam Pearson and Euan Edwards were on great form and scored some cracking goals.
